The founders of internationally-renowned skincare brand, Sukin, have launched a new vegan-friendly and cruelty-free Australian native skincare range, Alkira Skin Care, into pharmacies and health food stores across the country.
There are five different ranges – Hydrating, Brightening, Hydra+, Detoxifying and Refining – each with a selection of products, which include cleansers, creams, facial oils and moisturisers. The Detoxifying range has four masques to detox, brighten and minimise the appearance of fine lines.
Infused with ingredients and extracts such as Kakadu Plum, Finger Lime Caviar, Quandong, Davidson Plum, Lilly Pilly and Kangaroo Paw, Alkira Skin Care products repair, protect, revitalise and leave the skin glowing.
Kakadu Plum contains one of the world’s highest concentrations of naturally occurring vitamin C, a potent antioxidant that can neutralise free radicals. When applied topically it may assist with providing antioxidant protection and may work to enhance skin radiance and improve texture.
Finger Lime Caviar
Finger Lime Caviar’s tiny juice pearls release a range of potent phyto-active compounds including vitamin C, antioxidants and naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids. Finger Lime Caviar may help to rejuvenate skin and promote a clear, glowing complexion.
Kangaroo Paw is full of essential fatty acids which are the building blocks of healthy cell growth. Also rich in linoleic acid, an omega 3 fatty acid known for its ability to strengthen the skins’ barrier and lock in moisture. As our bodies can’t naturally make this essential fatty acid, linoleic acid needs to be applied topically in order to receive its full benefits. Kangaroo paw is also rich in ferulic acid, a potent antioxidant.
Tasmania Blue Gum
Tasmania Blue Gum acts as an anti-inflammatory and astringent to promote clear, blemish free skin. Its natural antiseptic properties help fight bacteria, inflammation and acne and keep skin clean and clear.
Alkira Skin Care products range from $14.95 to $19.95 and are available nationally from April 2020 via https://alkiraskincare.com.au/
