Nick and Femi ( The Amazing Race) x Handpicked Wines

Nick and Femi, two mental health nurses who recently competed on The Amazing Race Australia have gathered the cast of the show and teamed up with Handpicked Wines in Chippendale to host a fundraiser for the Australian Red Cross.

Fans of the show and those simply wanting to have a good night out for a great cause can purchase a ticket for $30 (all proceeds go to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery fund). Each ticket includes two complimentary glasses of Prosecco, cheese and charcuterie canapés and the chance to mingle with the cast of The Amazing Race.

Handpicked Wines will donate 10% of all bar proceeds for the entire night to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery fund, as well as providing a stunning venue for this fundraiser.

An auction will take place to raise additional funds for disaster relief with prizes including memorabilia from the show, a 5 night stay in a Premier Suite at the Concorde Hotel Singapore, a 4 night stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Penang in a Rock Royalty Seaview Deluxe Room, as well as money can’t buy experiences such as a double dinner date with Nick and Femi, to name but a few.

City Loves Country

Nooky, Thundamentals, Hoodzy, Hermitude, Horrorshow, Rebecca Hatch, Joyride, Jazmine Nikitta, Kilimi have all banded together to raise as much money for a community who are suffering.

They’re donating to the Fire Relief Fund for First Nations Communities. The deep trauma being experienced by countless people on this land is made all the more horrible by sacred lands burning to ash.

They encourage you to pay extra on top of your $50 ticket. All proceeds with be donated, with all organisers, artists, crew, and the venue waiving performance/labour/hire costs.

Bushfire Relief Comedy Show

Sydney Festival Bushfire Appeal

Regurgitator, Custard, Polish Club, Dan Sultan, Art Vs. Science and Neptune Power Federation unite for Sydney Festival Bushfire Appeal.

Ahead of their launch this Wednesday, Sydney Festival has today announced a bushfire relief concert at the Metro Theatre on Saturday 11 January.

Featuring a mix of artists performing at the festival and their friends, the Bushfire Appeal will feature local music artists Regurgitator, Custard, Dan Sultan, Neptune Power Federation, Polish Club and Art Vs. Science.

All proceeds for this event will be donated to Red Cross by Sydney Festival.

The Metro Theatre will donate all costs associated with this event to WIRES Wildlife Rescue.

The Imperial’s Bushfire Relief Fundraiser

Etcetera Etcetera, Ruby Slippers, Farren Heit, Miss 3D, Felicia Foxx and Peach Fuzz are just a few of the fabulous performers hitting the stage for The Imperial’s Bushfire Relied Fundraiser.

Djs including Shanie D, Estée Louder, Cunningpants, Tilda Swagton and Tammy Thomas will be playing hit after hit to get you booging all night long. Entry is $10 with all funds going directly to the Trustee for NSW Rural Fire Service and Brigades donations fund. A portion of drink sales will also go to the cause.

BRANDS AND BUSINESSES DOING THEIR BIT

NOMAD- Cook for the bush

This Sunday 12 January, Sydney’s hospitality industry will join forces with the team at NOMAD to #cookforthebush in support of Australia’s ongoing bushfire crisis. With such an incredible response to the brunch which sold out within a few hours, NOMAD has expanded the fundraiser event, with a bake sale takeover within GoGo Bar at Chin Chin, as well as a rooftop lunch at Paramount Recreational Club. 100% of proceeds from the day will go directly to the Australian Red Cross.

NOMAD’s Executive Chef, Jacqui Challinor has rallied more than 35 of Sydney’s top chefs and venues, including Aria, Ester, Firedoor, Fred’s, Icebergs Dining Room + Bar, Quay, Rockpool Bar & Grill and Sixpenny with more expected to come on board in the coming days. Kicking off at 10am this Sunday, the chefs will collaborate on a custom a la carte brunch menu that will be available at NOMAD Up The Road until 3pm, as well as a range of takeaway baked goods that will be available for purchase next door at Chin Chin until sold out. From 12pm onwards, guests can reserve a two hour time slot for $250 at the rooftop lunch at Paramount Recreation Club with roaming canapé style dishes. Palisa Anderson from Boon Luck Farm will be donating produce for the event while the neighbouring bar team from Tio’s will prepare cocktails and St Ali and Single O will provide coffee for the brunch and bake sale.

Solotel Group

The owners of the Solotel Group, the Solomon Family, along with Matt Moran are supporting Australia’s ongoing bushfire crisis through a series of donations and in-venue fundraising opportunities, launching from Friday 10 January.

Bruce, Elliot and Anna Solomon along with Matt are pledging a donation of $10,000 per venue, totalling $280,000 that will go directly towards the Rural Fire Services within each venues’ respective NSW and QLD states.

Solotel’s pubs and bars are hosting a Bushfire Relief Hour on Friday 17 January, with all proceeds from food and beverages sold between 5 – 7pm on the day being donated directly towards the bushfire appeal. Participating venues will span 21 bars and pubs across Sydney including Darlo Bar, Goros, Green Park Hotel, Kings Cross Hotel, Opera Bar, Paddo Inn, Public House Petersham, Smoke and House Bar at Barangaroo House, The Albion, The Bank, The Bridgeview Hotel, The Clock, The Courthouse Hotel, The Edinburgh Castle Hotel, The Erko, The Golden Sheaf, The Marly, The Regent, The Sackville and Quay Bar as well as South Brisbane’s Little Big House.

Matt Moran and the Solomon family restaurants are supporting the cause by introducing a Bushfire Relief Dish or Drink on each of their menus. Launching tomorrow through to Sunday 9 February, 100% of proceeds from a single highlighted menu item at Aria, Bea at Barangaroo House, Chiswick Woollahra, Chiswick at the Gallery, Chophouse Sydney, North Bondi Fish and Brisbane’s Riverbar & Kitchen will go directly towards the Rural Fire Service.

Nel x Rural Aid

In situations like we have in Australia right now, it’s important not only to remember those on the front line, but also to support those that the devastating effects of drought and fires impact long term. In the hospitality industry, these ties are strongly linked to our farmers and the loss of land, livestock and produce. This is why Nelly Robinson has decided to partner with Rural Aid to donate a portion of the proceeds from his soon to launch Australia themed degustation menu.

Hush Puppies Australia

This Thursday 9 January, 2020 (between 12:00am and 11:59pm), all sales made in-store and online with Hush Puppies Australia will be donated to the Red Cross and WIRES in an effort to support people affected by the fires and the injured wildlife.

Continuing to support local communities across Australia, Hush Puppies will also be launching a road trip in May/June this year to visit towns devastated by the fires and give back to these communities.
