Following on from the success of last year’s sell out event, Just A Bit…Funny will return to the Sydney Comedy Festival with a show that will squash stereotypes and misconceptions, entertain, and challenge the norm.

Coordinated by Riverside Theatres’ Beyond the Square, a dedicated performing arts program for people with disabilities, Just A Bit…Funny aims to challenge perceptions and embrace differences. The show will look at the lighter side of being a person with disability and most of all, make audiences laugh!

The hilarious Tommy Dean, accompanied by an Auslan interpreter, will perform MC duties on the night while taking to the stage will be a fantastic line-up of comedians with and without disabilities including Dane Hiser, Andy Dexterity, Madeleine Stewart, Darien Brown, and Phillip Debs.

Comedian, actor and filmmaker, Craig Anderson, conducted and filmed interviews and comedy sketches about people with disabilities and their funny, dark and often absurd stories. Anderson created an online comedy show with this footage, which was first launched in the 2014 Just A Bit…Funny show. This year we will see additional video content added to the show, captioned for hearing-impaired audiences.
