The glamorous So Frenchy So Chic returns to St John’s College gardens for its 3rd year on the 16th of January. The event will feature live French musical acts, beautiful and bountiful picnics and that little bit of je ne sais quoi to create a spectacular celebration of La Belle France.

The event welcomes families, with kids under 12 going free, and face painting and puppet shows to delight even the oldest of young hearts.

La Musique

HINDI_ZAHRA Low res

Hindi Zahra promises a soulful sound

The music line up is fantastique:

Hindi Zahra, considered to be the French North-African Patti Smith, will entertain the crowds with her laid back sound of folk and blues, with a multi-instrumentalist story-telling and edgy vibe.

Fun and light duo Brigitte will follow, providing all the rhythms needed for a dance. The two artists have seen global success, holding a multi-platinum record for their first album. Paying homage to the 1970s groove, their lounge-pop, folky disco sound will electrify.

Lou Doillon will be making her debut appearance at So Frenchy this year, promising a soulful sound and relaxed beats.

The final act are one to behold, Soviet Suprem will bring their Bolshoi beats to Camperdown and rock the crowd with their extravagant electric beats and over the top performance.

A perfect week in France, cruising down the famous canals on a barge, stuffing my face with cheese and wine and not even being graceful about it #glutton #jadore #sayfromage

Dear Sydney Social 101, my ideal French getaway would be a picnic & stroll with beautiful french tunes… an afternoon La Vie en rose!

My boyfriend speaks fluent french so an afternoon of french cheese, french wine and french macarons whilst listening to some tunes and having him try and teach me some important phrases in preparation for a trip to my dream city, Paris!

Drive across France from Dijon to Lyon,
Shop Europe’s latest trends in Louis Vuitton,
    Tuck into a ham croissant,
What more could this Francophile want?!

Cruising through the South of France, visiting vineyards and drinking Rose… just soaking up the atmosphere of the beautiful countryside with my fiancé.

I am true Francophile so the perfect French getaway would have to be in Lyon, the best of both rivers and an abundance of cheese and wine hidden along the cobble stone streets.

MG convertible, cruising through the French country side with my partner, top down, crisp autumn weather running through your hair, a picnic & moet in the back-seat.

Opera in tux, a la Pretty Woman. Champers brekkie: steaming croissants; dreamy pain au chocolate. Ride in Deux Chevaux for Chablis and cheese grazing luncheon!

A day spent in the sun dappled waters in Avignon, followed by an evening of raunchy fun in the Moulin Rouge – what could be better?

A weekend (or longer) in a cute little BnB in the South of France (with a gorgeous french man), tanning on the beach, exploring Les Calanques and drinking rose/eating cheese/macaroons on a balcony watching the sunset.
