Socks. They’re often overlooked in the fashion world – seen as more of a practical item of clothing than a stylish one. LA-born global sock brand Stance are looking to change this perception by creating socks which are designed deliberately for their wearers to express individuality and from a practical standpoint, are still super comfy. Quirky patterns and artistic prints feature in every mens, womens, and kids Stance Socks’ range, with varying styles from crew socks to invisibles (hidden under a shoe).

We were invited to the new Bondi Harvest on Thursday morning last week to check out their latest designs available for this year. A morning mimosa in one hand and a Bondi Harvest canapé-size breakfast meal in the other, we strolled around the venue (a dedicated floor of The Eastern) admiring the socks on display and the live “photo shoot” setup with models posing in various positions around a diner-style booth – all wearing the product.

The latest Stance range was inspired by “punks” and “poets” influencers ranging from models to surfers to artists – all linked through a common thread of being uncommon. The style muse list includes Cheyenne Tozzi, Bambi Northwood-Blythe, and Haim. One of the muses, designer and model Rose Ashton, was on hand at the event to design onto a sock as part of a live art installation, and chat about all things Stance.

Guests to the fashion launch event included retail buyers, bloggers and celebrities, with Mimi Elashiry, Kate Peck, and Prinnie Stevens, among the pack. We enjoyed live nail art by Cutie Coolz with nail designs featuring Stance prints, and breakfast food and drinks (fresh juices and thick smoothies) by Bondi Harvest. Suffice to say, we started our Thursday morning off inspired (with full stomachs too).
