Sydney will host fashion icons from around the world and showcase the hottest designer labels Australia has to offer at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival. Commencing tomorrow in its 8th year, the festival will run from the 24th-26th September and will be held at Sydney’s iconic Town Hall. Exclusive tickets have been sold, allowing attendees to experience the ultimate range of Australian Spring/Summer fashion and exhibit of this seasons trends. This exclusive event will be graced by top models and A-list celebrities, these VIP guests will be hosted in the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge with resident DJ mixing the latest tunes as well as drinks & canapés served all night.

International supermodel Coco Rocha has been named the Official Event Ambassador of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney 2015. Coco will make a special appearance tomorrow for the Opening Night of MBFFSydney, sitting in the front row. Coco has walked for countless elite fashion titles such as Versace, Louis Vuitton and Chanel as well as being the face of global luxury brands such as Christian Dior, Balenciaga and Lanvin.

Coco is a lover of Australia and Australian fashion, a favourite of hers being eveningwear designer Johanna Johnson.  She states “I have always loved visiting Sydney. It’s such a beautiful harbour city, and the perfect place to relax in between shows. I can’t wait to see what all the Australian designers have store with their latest collections.” Recently Coco appeared as a guest on the latest season of Australia’s Next Top Model.

Not only will she be walking the red carpet in Sydney, Coco will design a one-off custom Mercedes-Benz SL 300 pedal car for the Mercedes-Benz Pedal Car Project to be revealed at the MBFFSydney and auctioned post-event to raise funds for Brainwave Australia.

The night will be a glamorous spectacle presenting collections by Dion Lee, Bec & Bridge, Kate Sylvester, Alice McCall and as well as luxe runway couture by Rachel Gilbert, Steven Khalil and Zhivago (a Kardashian favourite). This event is sure to be a highlight for the Australian Fashion Industry on a global scale.
