Last night (19 February) Sydney Social 101 was invited to join an intimate group of Sydney’s fashion media, celebrities, stylists and bloggers were invited to attend the exclusive chocolate and champagne themed event at The Cook, His Wife & Her Shoes located on Crown Street in Surry Hills to celebrate a brand new, exclusive concept in shoe shopping.
Upon stepping into the Parisian style shoe boutique, guests were welcomed by ‘The Cook’ (Alun) with Luc Belaire Rose champagne, Stolen Recipe Iced Tea and Adora Handmade Chocolates.
Adorning the shelves were silk scarves, fur gloves, vintage silverware and the very latest shoes by exclusive brands such as Hoss Intropia, Chie Mihara, Repetto, Tily Rose and MMissoni. Not only are many of these brands unavailable in other Australian boutiques, many of the colour combinations and designs are hand picked and created exclusively for the Surry Hills’ store.
The Wife (Regina) explained, “Walking into my store is like walking into my wardrobe.” Regina tries on every pair of shoes before purchasing them for her store – this way she can be assured of the comfort, the style and the exact fit of the shoe. She continued, “Shopping for heels should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, I want every guest who comes to my store to enjoy being fit in their perfect heel.” Regina admitted that she wears heels grocery shopping before Alun spoke up saying that “Regina even went into labour wearing heels.” This is one woman who is committed to the high heel revolution.
On top of the new range for the above brands, The Cook, his Wife & her Shoes announced that private fittings are now offered to all of their clients. Guests are invited to reserve a time to visit the store (appointments can be arranged out of hours) where they will be treated to a cup of luxury tea whilst Regina or Alun fit you to the perfect heel across their range. This ensures you get undivided attention and a service that is unlike any other offered in Sydney.
