Bel & Brio in Barangaroo is your one stop venue to eat, drink and shop (Think: everyday pantry staples, household essentials, fresh produce and flowers)!

The Bel & Brio bar and dining menu takes inspiration from traditional Italian cooking styles to create dishes that are centred on fresh and seasonal produce. The menu is designed for sharing and is complemented by an extensive wine list of over 800 wines.

Bel & Brio recently launched their new winter menu and Sydney Social 101 were one of the first to try it out- all four courses of it!

For starters we shared the seared, melt in your mouth ruby tuna with a sesame seed crust swerved with shaved fennel, snow peas and marinated artichokes with citrus dressing and pistachio crumbs; the bruschetta with homemade bread, tomato pesto and micro green herbs; and the sliced wagyu beef fillet served with chiodini mushrooms,  shaved dark chocolate, black truffle oil and parmesan cheese.

For the first course (Also known as the pasta course) we thoroughly enjoyed the Risotto with pumpkin, toasted almonds and 12 years aged balsamic vinegar and also the home made potato gnocchi with Italian sausage, stracchino cheese and black truffle sauce. My absolute favourite pasta dish that we tried was the spanner crab spaghetti served with fresh tomatoes, herbs flavoured charcoal breadcrumbs and chili. Delish!

Although I was almost already full (I am such a pasta girl), it was time for the main course. For mains we shared the king prawns on a fennel and citrus salad with black olive mayo and pistachio crumbs; and the slow cooked pork neck with Jerusalem artichoke puree and brussels sprouts topped with a tequila reduction and beetroot chips. We also had the cauliflower gratin with kale pesto, heirloom baby carrots, confit cherry tomatoes and rosemary infused olive oil.

To finish off our meal we indulged in dessert with the pistachio tiramisu with Sicilian pistachio infused in mascarpone cheese topped with fresh raspberries. Not only did this dessert look amazing it tasted incredible and beautifully rounded off our meal.

The new winter menu at Bel & Brio is delicious, seasonal, authentic and will be sure to warm you from the inside out! Perfect for a long lunch with friends or a romantic dinner with that special someone! Just make sure you save room for dessert!
