On April 1st (this is not an April Fools Joke!) Cucinetta in Woolwich is launching a brand new breakfast concept and is reviving authentic, traditional Italian food.
Cucinetta was established in 2006 by passionate, award winning Chef Vincenzo and in 2018 was awarded an AGFG Hat. The food at Cucinetta encompasses classic methods of cooking by keeping the rules true to the Italian kitchen, but with a modern twist, innovation and creativity. The new breakfast, or colazione in Italian reflect this in the appearance of classic breakfast dishes such as Coffee granita and brioche, traditional to southern Italy and the calabrese baked eggs with sausages, kale, capsicum and chilli.
Highlights on the new menu include Ricotta hot cake with orange mascarpone, poached pear, figs, coconut and nuts, House granola served with macadamia, apple, kiwi, berries and yoghurt, and Brioche French toast with caramelised banana, ricotta, chocolate, salted caramel. For those wanting something try Zucchini fritters with smoked salmon, cucumber, crème fraiche, poached egg or Eggs benedict with spinach and smoked salmon.
Available all day are a selection of sumptuous pasticceria, with the croissants being made directly in house and filled with Nutella (A must try!).
Coffee is renowned Italian style, Vittoria Cinque Stelle, which delivers a smooth delicate finish on the palate and is prepared with care by excellent baristas.
Not only is the food incredible at Cucinetta, the view is incredible too with a fabulous and breathtaking view of the city skyline and Harbour Bridge.
Cucinetta will open its doors for breakfast from 1 April, and will be serving from 7:00 – 11:00 am from Monday to Saturday. The venue is also open for lunch, dinner and all day treats.
