North Sydney’s best kept secret and local’s favourite coffee spot Lobby Boy situated in Northpoint has launched a new dinner menu.

Available on Thursdays and Fridays, Lobby Boy will showcase locally sourced produce through a Modern Australian-Italian fusion menu guided by the seasons.

Diners can choose between a 4-course menu for $79pp with a complimentary glass of wine or an A la Carte option.

Sydney Social 101 recently popped into Lobby Boy for dinner on a cold and rainy evening. We were warmly welcomed into the spacious but cosy dinning area and seated at a beautifully set table. While we perused the menu we were given some delicious fresh out of the oven focaccia to whet our appetite.

After some extensive thought we opted to order from the A la Carte menu and chose to start with the lightly fried and crispy Zucchini flowers topped with generous serving of  the super morish Ricotta Truffle Mousse and also the super flavoursome  risotto arancini balls stuff with provolone cheese and peas.

For mains we tried the Ranger Valley Wagyu Rump Steak (6-8M) served with parsnip puree, Butter Glazer dutch carrot, parsnip chips and homemade beef jus. The meat was so tender and full of flavour while the accompaniments really brought the dish to life and complimented the meat beautifully.

We also tried the Cauliflower steak served with caper berries, lemon, burnt butter, loeine nuts and fried sage. Full of exciting flavour and texture and cooked to absolute perfection this dish is a must-try for vegetarians and meat lovers alike.

For dessert ( because there is always room for dessert right??)  we tried the stunning and delicious Strawberry Pavlova Confit Strawberry served with Lemon Mascarpone, Vanilla Crumble, Fresh Strawberry, Popcorn, Aqafaba Meringue, and White Chocolate. The perfect end to the perfect meal!

Other highlights on the menu which we will definitely be trying when we go back include Pan-Seared Duck Breast with Sous vide duck breast, Savoy Cabbage, Rhubarb jam, Creamfresca, Fried Onion, Strawberry Jus; and the Pasta Al Granchio (Crab) served with home-made Squid Ink Spaghetti with Australian Blub Crab Swimmer, Mussels Butter, Calabrian Chily, Cherry Tomatoes and Garlic Bread.

Lobby Boy also serves a wide selection of wines, beers and cocktails to perfectly compliment your meal.

Operating Thursday and Friday 5.30pm – Late, Lobby Boy will be launching their new dinner menu to the public from Thursday 27th May.
