It’ll be hard for anyone to interrupt you at Central Park’s Inaugural Film Festival, as the centre is introducing the element of silence to the screenings. Not to be confused with black and white films of a forgotten era, this silent Film Festival will offer guests wireless headphones to enjoy the sounds and effects of the films, blocking out all other sounds.

Launching on Thursday, 22 October there will be eight blockbuster hits for the public to enjoy over the weekend. To book in to experience one of the films, guests are invited to purchase tickets for $10, which are redeemable back at participating Central Park food retailers. So grab your ticket, your snack, your headset, and enjoy the films!

Get your weekend movie fix with your group of friends – including crowd favourite Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Loved by many this quirky comedy features the bitter feud between reporters Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone.

For those wanting to get their sing-a-long on, Pitch Perfect, featuring Anna Kendrick, will be playing the evening of Saturday, 24 October.

For the romantics in us all, Romeo + Juliet (1996) will also be showing as well as BIG, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Cool Runnings and 10 Things I Hate About You.
