Nothing says Summer in Sydney quite like stretching out on a rug under the stars and cracking open a bottle on a balmy night at Moonlight Cinema.

So raise your glass because Australia’s favourite open-air cinema is back and the program promises we’re in for a long summer of fun, food and film.

Returning to the lush lawns of Belvedere Amphitheatre in Centennial Park, Moonlight Cinema brings a relaxed festival atmosphere to film-watching. Grab some mates and BYO bevvies and snacks for a cheap and chilled catch up in front of a classic movie. Better still, treat a hot date to a cosy bean bag rental in the premium Gold Grass section with perfect views and a host to fetch you delicious hot food, nibbles and drinks from the fully licensed bar and food truck.

This year’s program includes advanced screenings of some of the most anticipated big screen dramas (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri) and new release blockbusters (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as well as family movies (Paddington Bear 2) and plenty of fan favourites (hello Back to the Future!). Check out the website for the full program listing – there really is something for everyone.
