2019 is calling everyone back to the Wine Room kitchen pit for another season of feeding delicious snack plates and sips to your favourite friends and Delfino Familia.
The first half of 2019 starts off strong with features from Morgan McGlone and Andrew Guard off the back of their tour of France’s best food and wine provinces. Mike Bennie will be sprinting from Enmore to Surry Hills with his athletic team Lou and Tai for a night of endurance sports. Natural wine’s favourite legends from Tassie, Roger and Sue from Living Wines drop in to pour some key drops & Luke Burgess will also be slinging out some Falafel straight from the deep-fryer to your plate.
The Dolphin Wine room kitchen will transform into a Banh Xeo Bar, John Paul Twomey is bringing the action directly from Carlton Wine Room. Mikey and Jesse are canning some heat from Continental Deli Newtown and we’re turning the wine
room into a Leonardo’s Pizza Palace!
“We’re excited to then take on a reverse-ativo taking us to Melbourne town to hook in with the legends from Leonardo’s! 2019 is going to be on fire in terms of these super creative team ups!” says Monty Koludrovic, The Dolphin Hotel & Wine Room’s Executive Chef.
And that’s only just a sampling of the fares you can expect.
“This year we are turning up the volume on wine and drinks.” Added James Hird, Head Sommelier. “Expect magnums of rare Jura bottlings, Sbagliati and some Mike Bennie P & V madness. We really want to celebrate wine, Aperitvi and drinks this year in amongst visiting chefs. Getting change from $10 is a great opportunity for folks to explore wines and drinks without the ouch.”
The Aperitivo 2019 line-up begins Sunday 3rd March with Andrew Guard X Morgan McGlone and their Les Camion Tordus – Tales of a frozen wine tour.
