Penfolds has unveiled an out of this world wine experience in celebration of The Penfolds Collection 2022 release – with a unique and immersive event series to take place over three nights at Carriageworks in Sydney.
‘Venture Beyond by Penfolds’ will run from Thursday 4th August to Saturday 6th August, with the ticketed event promising an evening like no other. Journeying into an unexpected, exciting, and visually powerful world of space exploration, the event will unlock a universe of playful experiences and space themed activations. Australian indie pop duo Client Liaison will perform across the three nights, delighting guests with their energetic dance and electronic music. World-renowned music producer and international DJ, Dan Lywood from Playlister is also joining
the entertainment line-up – with his extensive career taking him to venues across all corners of the globe, developing
soundtracks for iconic fashion designers including Chanel, Givenchy and Vivienne Westwood, as well as venues such
as Chateau Marmont, and The Standard Hotel Group.
A delectable space themed menu has been created by renowned Australian chef Nelly Robinson from Nel Restaurant
– inspired by space mission samples and a childhood visit to NASA, Chef Nelly has curated an interstellar gastronomy experience with his passion for pushing culinary boundaries making him the perfect collaborator.
Design-driven art collective, Babekühl, have created an otherworldly short film for the activation that captures Penfolds creative winemaking process, depicting wines from The Penfolds Collection 2022 made across two hemispheres. This interpretation of Penfolds story is told through the lens of new horizons and possibilities using infrared cinematography, macro imaging, 3D scanning, photogrammetry, AI and code-based art tools, data-driven, and generative imagery.
Tickets are now available for purchase – general admission tickets include food by Chef Nel, three glasses of newly
released wines from The Penfolds Collection 2022 (Australian: Bin 28 Shiraz 2020, Californian: Bin 600 Cabernet Shiraz 2019 and French: FWT 585 Cabernet Merlot Petit Verdot 2019) and Penfolds Max’s throughout the evening.
In addition to the above, masterclass tickets offer a guided tasting with a Penfolds winemaker of seven wines from The Penfolds Collection 2022 – including Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2020 (affectionately known as ‘Baby Grange’), Bin 51 Eden Valley Riesling 2022, Bin 311 Chardonnay 2021, and Bin 23 Pinot Noir 2021.
