There are certain artist announcements that immediately transport you back to a very specific period of your life.
And then there’s Calvin Harris.
If the opening bars of Feel So Close can still make you believe — however briefly — that your knees are 24 years old, your hangover will last approximately three hours and going home before 2am would be a criminal waste of an evening, I have some news.
Calvin Harris is coming to Sydney.

Calvin Harris is playing The Domain in Sydney
The Scottish DJ and producer has announced his first-ever Australian headline tour, which is slightly mind-blowing when you consider how much of the soundtrack to our nights out he’s provided over the years. The tour hits Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in February 2027.
Sydney gets Calvin Harris at The Domain on Saturday, 20 February 2027, with gates opening at 5pm and the event running until 11pm. It’s an 18+ general admission show.
And honestly, The Domain feels exactly right for this.
Because this isn’t really a sit-down-and-appreciate-the-musicianship situation, is it?
This is thousands of us collectively discovering whether our bodies can still cope with Summer, One Kiss, Feel So Close and We Found Love in one evening.
Spoiler: I intend to find out.

If you’ve been seeing this all over your feeds and wondering when you can actually get tickets, now is the time.
The Artist Presale and Venue Presale opened at 12pm today, Wednesday 23 September, and run until midday Thursday, subject to availability. General sale opens at 1pm AEST tomorrow, Thursday 24 September. Ticketmaster lists a six-ticket limit for the Artist Presale and General Sale.

I genuinely think this is going to be one of those gigs where half the fun is looking around and realising everyone is having exactly the same flashback.
Calvin Harris’s catalogue spans such a ridiculous portion of millennial nightlife.
Acceptable in the 80s. I’m Not Alone. Feel So Close. Sweet Nothing. Summer. How Deep Is Your Love. This Is What You Came For. One Kiss.
And obviously We Found Love — a song capable of turning perfectly respectable adults with mortgages and school drop-offs into their former nightclub selves in approximately four seconds.
That’s why this announcement hits differently.
It’s not simply nostalgia, either. Harris has remained one of electronic music’s biggest names while the rest of us have gone from pre-drinks at someone’s flat to checking whether a venue has nearby parking.
