Christmas is coming early for foodies, with The Good Food & Wine Show Christmas Edition bringing a giant helping of festive food, baking, shopping and entertainment to Sydney and Melbourne this November and December.
Australia’s longest-running and most awarded consumer food event is getting a Christmas makeover, combining the ultimate festive food celebration with the world’s first immersive THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN BAKE OFF experience. It’s a chance for fans to step inside the much-loved baking world for a weekend of food, creativity and plenty of delicious inspiration.
At the heart of the Christmas Edition is the Festive Kitchen, featuring a purpose-built 120-seat theatre packed with live cooking demonstrations, baking inspiration and festive entertaining tips. Celebrity chef Miguel Maestre, Queen of Chocolate Kirsten Tibballs and THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN BAKE OFF judge Darren Purchese will take to the stage, with Melbourne audiences also getting to see Nat Thaipun from Vue de Monde.
Want to do more than watch? The Cooking School will host interactive masterclasses where budding chefs can get hands-on and create dishes with guidance from some of the country’s best culinary talent.
There’s plenty for little bakers too, with Little Bakers Corner designed especially for kids. Young foodies can decorate festive treats, create Christmas goodies and get stuck into some hands-on baking fun.
Of course, no Christmas food event would be complete without shopping. Festival Village will be filled with premium food and drink producers, gourmet gifts and seasonal treats, alongside food tastings, wine sampling, a giant Christmas tree and plenty of festive photo opportunities.
For those who’d rather spend their time covered in flour, Baker’s Village brings together leading baking brands, artisan producers, ingredients, bakeware and decorating essentials. Basically, everything you need to take your Christmas baking from “nailed it” to “nailed it, actually”.
Wine lovers can put their taste buds to the test with Wine Selectors Secret Sips, a 30-minute mystery wine experience where guests sample three wines and try to identify what’s hiding in their glass before the festive reveals are unveiled.
And when all that tasting and shopping inevitably works up an appetite, Good Eat Street will be serving up even more delicious bites to keep the Christmas cheer going.
The Good Food & Wine Show has been bringing chefs, winemakers, producers and food lovers together for more than 20 years, attracting more than 115,000 visitors nationally each year. The Christmas Edition takes that much-loved experience and turns up the festive fun, making it the perfect day out for foodies, families, bakers and anyone who believes Christmas calories don’t count.

Sydney: 20–22 November 2026 at ICC Sydney
