While we normally don’t condone any sort of fighting here at SS101, we’ll make an exception for the next installment of Craft Beer Fight Club, an epic battle of the brews being held for the very first time at the DOG Hotel in Randwick this Sunday 17th April.  The event sees two of Australia’s favourite craft breweries go to war to compete for beer supremacy and bragging rights in what is sure to be a fiery showdown!

On Australia Day 2016, arguably the most important countdown of the year (Sorry Triple J) took place when Australia decided their Hottest 100 craft beers. Stone & Wood took out the top spot with Feral Brewing coming in a close second.  Now these two rock stars of craft beer go head to head in a rematch to settle the score and find out once and for all who has the best brew.

Each brewer presents their two best brews and debate and quaff their way to beer glory. In short, Craft Beer Fight Club is a day of games, getting rowdy, debating, banter on all things brew related, and of course, drinking quality beers.

On the menu for the day will be a specialty beer and the ever popular Pacific Ale from Stone & Wood. Feral Brewing will be fighting hard against the competition with their Hop Hog American IPA and Watermelon Warhead, a sour wheat beer that took out the top prize for best craft beer at last year’s Craft Beer Industry Awards.

Tickets come in two packages and cover the cost of the four competition beers. The Heavyweight Beer Nerd Ticket ($30) is for those that like their beer in a big glass and The Featherweight Beer Nerd Ticket ($20) will get you middie-sized servings.
