All Hands Brewing House (A.H.B.H.) at King Street Wharf is an iconic harbourside microbrewery and public house. Drawing inspiration from the history and tradition of the King St docks, whilst celebrating the art of contemporary brewing and modern dining, A.H.B.H. is on the site of the old King St Brewhouse and has undergone a full renovation and redesign, including installation of a new state of the art brewery. The venue features a menu with a focus on Southern style comfort food and ocean fresh seafood, the Engine Room; a specialised beer tasting room with exclusive views of the microbrewery, the Brewery Room which holds up to 350 standing and the best beer garden on the wharf!

Scottish born Group Executive Chef Graeme McLaughlin has a career working at many acclaimed Australian restaurants under renowned chefs, including Bilsons in Sydney under the guidance of Guillaume Brahimi, Quay, Guillaume@Bennelong and Tetsuya’s. Graeme is responsible for directing the culinary operations across the business and helped create the menu at A.H.B.H. alongside Executive Chef Michael Acevedo.

It’s of course all about the beer at A.H.B.H. and Head Brewer Sam Clayman proudly crafts all of theirs inhouse. These include the ever-popular Cream Pale Ale, Gold Medal-winning Stout, and the Bunny Hop Lager, a worldly classic, to name a few. Sam has a PhD in Animal Physiology and Biochemistry which he applied to the world of professional brewing. Cutting his teeth as Head Brewer at Paddy’s Market Hotel Sam went on to complete a Diploma in Brewing Science through the prestigious Institute of Brewing and Distilling. During the rebirth of the King St venue as the new All Hands Brewing House, Sam worked closely with architects, planners and builders to design and install the new state-of-the-art brewery.

The redesign of the venue was 2 years in the planning and took 7 months to build. The interior was completely stripped back to a concrete shell and included moving the location of the brewery, kitchen, bars and even the bathrooms. The project architects were Maddison Architects, whose Principal Architect is Peter Maddison (host of Grand Designs Australia). The lead architect on this project was Drew Carling, Partner at Maddison Architects. They worked closely with award winning builders, Erilyan and an expert brewing and beer reticulation team to design the new brewery that is both fully functioning and a work of art.

All Hands Brewing House is a place for after-work drinks, family lunches, craft beer connoisseurs and postmatch pints. It is a place for people to come together to eat, laugh, and drink excellent beer, brewed onsite, in an iconic waterfront Sydney.
