The first ever NSW venue of the partnership between Australia’s leading pub operator Australian Venue Co. (AVC) and one of the world’s largest craft beer bar operators, Scottish-born brand BrewDog, is set to open its doors on Friday 2nd Dec 2022. It will be located within the iconic locomotive workshops of the historic South Eveleigh precinct, where neighbouring venues include much-loved Lucky Kwong and renowned Re bar.

The $3.2m project will see the huge new venue accommodate 720 patrons inside and 190 outside, across a sprawling indoor dining space, bar, and vast communal beer garden. BrewDog South Eveleigh will offer 40 brews on tap, with a range of BrewDog’s carbon negative and sustainably made beers from the brands solar-powered Murarrie brewery and taproom.

BrewDog South Eveleigh’s farm-to-table comfort food menu – which is 50% plant-based – has an extensive range of vegan and vegetarian options, alongside BrewDog’s legendary burgers, wings, pizzas, bowls, and salads.

The venue design by multi award-winning architects Studio Y will pay homage to the rich history of the iconic Locomotive Workshop that the venue calls home and draws on the creativity and progression of the area. Studio Y have designed respectfully around the original workshop machinery collection on display, retaining the stories and scars of the building’s previous custodian, to create an immersive and unique experience. Bold neon signs, industrial style fit out and lighting, polished concrete floors, concrete bar and kitchen countertop, and a mix of seating options such as booths, low and high tables complete the unique heritage listed space.
