Easter is just around the corner and we can’t think of a more fitting Sydney staycation that’s perfect for kids (and big kids alike).

Social 101 was invited to check out the Easter offering at Château Élan in the Hunter Valley ahead of Easter to let you guys know all about it from the horses mouth.

From Friday 15 to Sunday 17 April, Château Élan at The Vintage has the perfect family Easter sorted thanks to a range of fun activities (including a petting zoo via Sweet Valley Baby Animals – available on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm) planned across the whole weekend.

Live music will also be available at The Clubhouse from 5.30pm on Good Friday and From 11.00am Easter Sunday.

In a thrilling addition, local aviation specialists, Aero Logistics, will be offering joy flights from the Château Élan helipad over the weekend. For details and bookings, please contact the venue directly.

There’s so much to do at Château Élan at the best of times, so with the added activities for Easter fun you’ll literally be spoiled for choice as to what to pick.

Upon arriving at the venue to check out the Easter Family Fun Package (from $589), we were blown away by the  added extras, which really made the whole experience ‘egg’-stra (sorry, couldn’t resist) so special.

We were greeted with a cute package containing hot cross buns on arrival; a bottle of local wine on arrival for the big kids (aka me/ mum); complete with complimentary tent with toys and books for the kids.

Also included in the package is a family pass to Hunter Valley Zoo (2 adults, 2 children), which we got to check out also. I have to be honest and confess that I didn’t even know that the Hunter Valley had a zoo, I also have to add that it’s freaking awesome.

We’re not talking a small zoo with barn yard animals, we’re talking lions, tigers, giraffes, camels and zebras! Well worth a visit! Plus the picnic prepared by the hotel was the absolute cherry on the top.

Plus, when the parents would like a minute during the break, kids can enter the ‘guess the egg’ competition and have the opportunity to win big, whilst families can enjoy a range of dining specials available at The Spike Bar all weekend long. Happy days!

An easy two-hour drive from Sydney means it’s perfectly accessible for a quick weekend getaway that is stress-free and relaxed for the whole family. So why not celebrate Easter with the best the Hunter Valley has to offer, all at Château Élan!

We absolutely loved it, Château Élan is our happy place and we can’t wait to go back!
