Last week, our country’s most irreverent and outspoken brand – MAMBO – who turned 30 years old, launched the MAMBO: 30 Years of Shelf-Indulgence art exhibition at the brand new aMBUSH Gallery, Central Park.

Hosted by social commentator and sporting anarchist H.G Nelson, guests took a walk down memory lane in a retrospective display of original artwork since 1984, including posters, surfboards, inflatables, in-store display units, and a 30-year timeline.

Throughout the evening, a ‘Hit & Run’ was set up with 150 t-shirts and 6 designs from MAMBO artists such as Ben Brown, Travis Price and Vanderlism, for attendees to take home a piece of MAMBO memorabilia.

Guests quenched their thirst with Stone & Wood beer, Starve Dog Lane Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz and Sir James sparkling wine; and were treated to a specially designed true-blue Aussie canapé menu by Setpiece.

VIP guests who attended on the night included Mambo Managing Director Angus Kingsmill; Mambo’s original founder Dare Jennings, legendary artist Reg Mombassa, Mambo’s original art director who also curated the whole exhibition, Wayne Golding; and a selection of Mambo ambassadors and artists from past to present.

The exhibition will run daily from 12-8pm, until the 26th April 2015.
