Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have heard about AFTERLIFE that took place on Halloween weekend .

Our party contributor Bobbie went to review the party and was not disappointed, Summer Land is the next edition and we’re expecting bigger and better things (if that’s even possible).

I’ve always celebrated Halloween until last year where I was doing my regional work so wasn’t able to. So this year I wanted to make sure I did something big and after hearing good things about past Have You Heard events from friends I knew the Afterlife was going to be amazing! I decided to buy tickets and roped in a couple of friends who were visiting from the UK at the time to come experience The Afterlife.

Mount Keira Park was the best location for The Afterlife – everything was accessible and it added a boutique vibe to the festival. The forest setting and decorations really made you feel like you stepped into a horror movie. One of my favourite parts about The Afterlife is that you could take your own food and alcohol which isn’t the norm at your average festival.

Everyone made a real effort with their costumes – being huge The Walking Dead fans this was a great opportunity to go all out on the zombie front.

The DJ’s set the scene with their deep-house, tech-house and some upbeat club music. There was plenty of room on the dance floors and they were really well decorated and the sound was perfect.

Overall, The Afterlife was everything I wanted and more. I wish I was here for next years, hopefully they will bring it to the UK! Thanks Have You Heard for a frightfully good weekend and showing our UK friends how Australia does Halloween.
