Sydneysiders can celebrate their love for the bean, cheering over cold drips, brewing tips and latte art smackdowns during The Rocks Aroma Festival on Sunday 26 July, 2015.

The historic precinct will transform into a Coffee Heaven as the aroma of Sydney’s best roasts and brews waft through the intimate laneways. The Rocks’ streets will be lined with more than 50 coffee and gourmet food stall holders, the Aroma shots photography exhibition, as well as vintage and specialty coffee carts.

Coffee lovers can enjoy the harbour views while indulging in alfresco coffee-infused beers brewing at the One Shot Pop-up Bar while The Rocks Aroma Festival’s resident bands play a blend of swing jazz, gypsy, and cabaret.

The festival awakens the senses as visitors walk through The Rocks with a coffee in hand, as the melody of machines whirring and milk frothing echo through the historic sandstone walls.

One of the highlights of The Rocks Aroma Festival will be the revelation of artist James Patrick’s unique masterpiece. Throughout July he’s been painting a giant canvas using “coffee paint”, with the final artwork to be revealed on the big day. There will also be coffee or tea leaf readings and a free Cosmic Coffee, Solar Hot Chocolate or Black Hole Tea on offer with every 30-minute tour ticket at the Sydney Observatory.

Coffee connoisseurs will enjoy a fun, educational and indulgent program of activities throughout the month of July, with workshops, coffee carts and the coveted Aroma Cup happening daily.

Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority (SHFA) is the NSW government’s custodian of The Rocks with the vision of making extraordinary places in Sydney the world talks about. While preserving The Rocks’ unique heritage, SHFA produces large-scale and intimate quality events, outdoor markets and educational tours.

The Rocks: it’s a perfect blend of culture, cuisine and a myriad of experiences worth savouring.
