Parlour Group, the hospitality leaders behind Riley St Garage, Surly’s and The Village Inn, are set to open a stunning new dining destination in Rosebery’s The Cannery in October. Stanton & Co. will be captained by the group’s award-winning Executive Chef Regan Porteous and serve a modern Australian menu with Japanese influences, alongside a diverse drinks menu.

Named after Richard Stanton, the property developer responsible for transforming the area into an industrial suburb in the early 1900s, Stanton & Co. will be home to a spectacular dining room, expansive bar and open kitchen. The team, led by owner Brody Petersen and General Manager Bay Kilpatrick, have collaborated with the renowned Alexander&Co to design the space, drawing inspiration from the site’s rich heritage and New York’s Meatpacking District.

Executive Chef Regan Porteous is leading the charge in the kitchen, working closely with Head Chef Marcelino Papio. Both chefs have long tenures with Parlour Group, having joined to open the group’s flagship restaurant, Riley St Garage, in 2013. The duo has created two distinct menus for the restaurant – fast, fresh and a la carte for lunch and a more extensive, shared concept for dinner – both reflecting Porteous’ approach to modern Australian fare and appreciation for Japanese flavours. The venue will have a strong focus on cocktails, alongside an approachable and balanced wine list and premium craft beer selection.

Stanton & Co. will cap off what is an exciting year for Parlour Group. After taking over the keys to Glenmore Road pub, The Village Inn, in 2016, Parlour recently refurbished upstairs into a modern sports bar and introduced Sunday afternoon acoustic sessions, trivia night and live drawing classes. Surly’s in Surry Hills has recently launched a new bar ‘Smokey’s Cabin’ with live music every Friday and Saturday night, while Woolloomooloo’s Riley St Garage is celebrating four years.
