We spoke to former NRL player Ben Lucas and Australia’s most respected yoga instructor Kate Kendall, ‘Clean Breaks’ about their Bali retreat, the perfect 6-day getaway for anyone who wants to enjoy an active but luxurious break by the beach. From beaches to the jungle, there is no doubt that Bali has a lot to offer, you just need to know where to look!
Here are Ben’s top picks for luxurious experiences to try in Bali this year.
CLEAN BREAKS
Clean Breaks is the first luxury escape held by Sydney’s premier yoga and fitness studio, Flow Athletic. It will be held in the luscious surrounds of Melia Bali in Nusa Dua on May 28- June 2, 2016.
The escape will be led by one of Australia’s most respected trainers, Ben Lucas who is the owner of Flow Athletic and a former NRL player, as well as Kate Kendall who is Australia’s most recognized yoga instructor.
They will be offering daily fitness and yoga classes, adventure activities, rest and relaxation at the pool and spa and more.
Clean Breaks have also teamed up with Nusa Dua’s premier eateries so guests will get to enjoy amazing cuisine as well as more of what the beautiful area has to offer.
TAKE A HELICOPTER RIDE
There is nothing like enjoying a birds eye view to get you to appreciate your surrounds even more, and with a diverse place like Bali, a helicopter ride is the way to go.
Taking a helicopter ride in Bali will allow you to see the area in a whole new light, from the tall Kintamani Volcano, to the temple dotted coastline of Bukit Peninsula.
Perfect for the adventurer who wants to explore, or the romantic who wants to spoil their partner.
BONEKA RESTAURANT IN BALI
With a beautiful big balcony over looking a lush tropical garden, there is much to love about this place.
The international menu offers beautiful food inspired from around world, and while it is great for dinner, it would be a shame to miss the view so dining at brunch/ lunch would be my pick.
SNORKLEING AT THE GILI ISLANDS
The beaches of the beautiful Gili Islands are positioned perfectly for sunsets and sunrises making them a beautiful destination to visit. The sand is powdery white, the water is clear blue and no motorized transport is allowed, which keeps the islands pristine.
There are over 25 dive sites around the islands, plus a famous free diving spot, which is popular with free divers, adventurers and weekend warriors alike.
PRANA SPA IN SEMINYAK
The Prana spa is owned by Australian painter Jim Elliot.
It is one of the largest spas in Bali and it has been designed with a strong influence of Indian and Middle eastern exotic architecture.
The spa features sacred Eastern traditions of health and beauty and was inspired by the legendary Moguls of Rajasthan.
