I chose the Nook Haven Bundle in Velvet Ocean Blue because, well, I’m a sucker for blue! We can see the ocean from our front window, so the colour just felt perfect for our home. And the velvet is so soft and beautiful in person.
When Willow first saw our new Nook, she jumped straight on it. Then I popped little Piper on with her, gave them a few books, and they just snuggled in together. They looked so cosy and comfortable and ended up sitting there for ages. Seeing my 12 year old Willow and tiny Piper sitting together reading was probably my favourite part.
The Nook Haven is seriously comfortable, and I love that it gives the kids their own little space. Our main couch can stay as the adult couch rather than the kids being sprawled all over it, which is what usually happens in our house!
It was also surprisingly easy to put together. I left the cushions overnight to let them get their fullness back, and I thought filling the pillowcases was going to be tricky, but it was actually really easy. I did the whole thing myself.
We’ve tucked our Nook into a corner of the lounge and it looks lovely. It feels tidy, inviting and cosy without taking over the room, and it’s really easy to move around if you want to change the layout.
I can see it working beautifully in a playroom, bedroom or lounge, really anywhere. I’m going to make it part of Piper’s little play corner, where the girls can sit, read and hang out together.
And I think that’s what makes it worth the money for me. It works for tiny Piper now, but it’s also big enough and comfortable enough for Willow, who is 12 and almost as tall as me. So, it’s definitely something we’ll get years of use out of, rather than something that’s just for the baby stage.
I absolutely love it. It’s beautiful, practical, ridiculously comfy and has already become one of those spots in the house where the girls naturally want to sit.
