Move Over, Dubai Chocolate … Cinnabon Is Hugos’ Next Flavour Obsession

First it was Dubai chocolate. Now Hugos Chocolates has set its sights on another global obsession – and this time, it’s coming for your cinnamon scroll cravings.

Landing exclusively at Coles nationwide today, Hugos Cinnabon Bombs bring the unmistakable flavour of the iconic American bakery brand into bite-sized, chocolate-coated form. Think soft, cinnamon-flavoured centre made with Makara cinnamon and crispy filo pastry pieces, all wrapped in a smooth cream cheese frosting shell inspired by, well, an actual cinnamon scroll. It’s less “chocolate with a cinnamon twist” and more “cinnamon scroll that decided to go undercover as a chocolate.”

This isn’t Hugos’ first rodeo when it comes to turning viral bakery moments into supermarket hits. The brand already had Australia hooked with its Pistachio Bombs — widely dubbed the local answer to the Dubai chocolate craze — and it’s clearly not done chasing the next big flavour wave.

“At Hugos, we love being the first to bring global flavour trends to Australians in a way that feels fun, new and impossible to ignore,” says Hugos founder Costa Kon. “The Cinnabon craze is huge internationally right now and we knew we had to turn it into a Bomb. Collaborations and viral flavour drops are where the category is heading, and we’re excited to keep pushing the boundaries with retailers, like Coles.”

It’s also a first for Cinnabon in the Australian confectionery aisle, marking a new chapter for the brand beyond its usual bakery counters. Dave Mikita, President of International and Retail Channels Licensing at GoTo Foods, says the partnership was a natural fit: “Cinnabon has built a global fanbase, and this collaboration transforms those beloved tastes into a unique confectionery experience. Hugos has a proven track record of creating innovative products that capture consumer attention, making them an ideal partner to help us extend the Cinnabon brand beyond our bakeries and into new snacking occasions.”

Translation: your afternoon snack drawer is about to get a serious glow-up.

The 130g packs will set you back $6.50 and hit Coles shelves (and coles.com.au) nationwide from 10 August. Made right here in Australia, so no jet lag required to get your cinnamon fix.

Whether you’re a die-hard Cinnabon devotee or you just have a soft spot for anything that blurs the line between chocolate and dessert, this one’s shaping up to be the next supermarket aisle sell-out. Get in quick – if the Pistachio Bombs taught us anything, it’s that Hugos fans don’t mess around.
