Sydney Social 101 got the pleasure of attending the multi-coloured Australian premiere of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out on 15th June at Event Cinema on George Street, Sydney.

I’m a massive fan of Disney Pixar’s movies so I was so excited to be attending the premiere of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out in Sydney.

The story of Inside Out, is about Riley (Kaitlyn Dias) who is a happy, hockey-loving 11 year old girl, but her life turns upside-down when she and her parents move to San Francisco. Riley’s emotions – led by Joy (Amy Poehler) – try to guide her through this difficult time. However, the stress of the move brings Sadness (Phyllis Smith) to the forefront. Then Joy and Sadness are accidentally swept into the far reaches of Riley’s mind. Anger, Fear and Disgust are the only emotions left in Headquarters whilst Riley is going through this upsetting time.

This premiere was an event not to be missed; guests entered a world of colour and fun and were able to walk on the bright, multi-coloured carpet which were themed around the film’s key characters –Joy, Disgust, Fear, Anger and Sadness. There were also activities for the guests to enjoy, which were also themed around Inside out.

We even got the pleasure of seeing US actress, comedian and Golden-Globe winner Amy Peohler who is the voice of Joy, even though we didn’t get the chance to speak to her, it was amazing to see her interacting with the fans that had come down to see her. We did get to speak to Director Pete Docter and he told us it was his first time in Sydney! He had already visited Taronga Zoo the day before and was hoping to go across the Harbour Bridge as well as visit some of Sydney stunning museums.
