Already earning a loyal following overseas, it’s easy to see why these two limited-edition flavours have generated so much buzz.
The standout for us is the Red Bull Summer Edition: Sudachi Lime, which brings a refreshingly different twist to the energy drink aisle. Inspired by Japan’s vibrant sudachi citrus, it combines bright sour-sweet citrus with familiar lime, subtle pomelo and a hint of citrus peel for a crisp, clean finish. The result is a seriously refreshing flavour that’s light, zesty and incredibly drinkable. Even in the middle of winter, it has us dreaming of long summer afternoons.
For those who prefer a sugar-free option, the Red Bull Cherry Edition Sugarfree: Cherry Sakura is equally impressive. It’s no surprise these flavours have already achieved near cult status overseas, with social media flooded with glowing reviews and fans calling for them to become permanent fixtures in the Red Bull Editions range. After trying them ourselves, we can understand the hype.
If we had to choose a favourite, Sudachi Lime just edges ahead thanks to its bright, refreshing citrus kick that’s unlike anything else currently on shelves. But Cherry Sakura Sugarfree runs a very close second, offering a deliciously fruity option without the sugar.
Available now at 7-Eleven ahead of a wider rollout from August, these limited-edition cans are well worth picking up before they disappear. If this is a taste of Red Bull’s future flavour innovation, we can’t wait to see what’s next.
