Clear your October calendars, Sydney, Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi is back, and it’s bigger than ever. From 17 October – 3 November 2025, the world’s largest free outdoor sculpture exhibition will transform the Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk into an open-air gallery, with more than 90 jaw-dropping works scattered along the 2km stretch.
That’s right: your morning walk just got a serious upgrade.
What to Expect

✨ Over 450,000 visitors are tipped to wander the clifftops during the 18-day exhibition (so pack your patience alongside your sunhat).
✨ Artists from 13 countries will showcase their work — from Japan to Denmark, India to China — proving art really does cross borders.
✨ Big names like Tim Storrier AM (Archibald + Doug Moran Prize winner) are exhibiting for the very first time.
✨ Longtime faves Lucy Barker and Jane Gillings are teaming up for a collab, while Drew MacDonald (last year’s People’s + Kids’ Choice Award winner for “Sharnana”) is back with another out-of-the-box creation.
✨ Expect repeat brilliance from Aqualand Sculpture Award winner Shen Lieyi, plus the legendary “double decade club” — seven artists who’ve been part of the exhibition for over 20 years.
Why We Love It
Sculpture by the Sea isn’t just an art event, it’s a full sensory experience. The sea breeze, the Bondi views, and the occasional seagull photobomb make it peak Sydney culture. Best bit? It’s totally free.
