Good news for your wallet: Char’d Chicken is giving it a well-earned break.
The cult-favourite chicken shop – (aka the one that scooped up the title of Sydney’s Best Chicken Shop courtesy of 2DayFM) – is extending its wildly popular $1 Wings promo for an extra two weeks this August. So if you missed your window the first time round, consider this your second (very crispy) chance to wing it.
Here’s the deal: every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, wings at all Char’d locations are just $1 each, ordered in lots of six (think 12, 18 or 24. Because, go big or go home, honestly). Toss them in Hot Honey, Sticky BBQ or Buffalo, or keep it classic straight from the fryer. Either way, your bank account will thank you and your tastebuds won’t even notice the discount. It’s a real cluck of the draw when it comes to picking a sauce.
For the uninitiated, Char’d isn’t your average cheap-and-cheerful chicken shop. Founded by James Estephan in 2023, the brand built its name on refusing to cut corners. Even on a $1 promo. These wings are marinated for a solid 12 hours, hand-seasoned, and cooked fresh to crispy, golden perfection before getting coated in your sauce of choice. No warmers, no bulk pre-frying, no shortcuts. Just proper, patient chicken-making, at a price that makes zero sense in this economy (in the best way).
It’s a fitting move for a brand that’s made “no compromises” its whole personality. Char’d has spent the past couple of years shaking up Sydney’s charcoal chicken scene with bold branding, house-made everything and a menu that goes well beyond the classic roast – burgers, tenders, loaded chips and family packs included. But it’s the wings that keep bringing Sydneysiders back, week after week, dollar after dollar.
With the cost of living still very much biting, a $1 wing night out is basically a PSA at this point. So, clear your Mon-Wed calendar, round up your mates, and get amongst it before the extension runs out.
