Christmas people, gather round. The Carriageworks Christmas Market is back for one day only on Saturday 20 December, and honestly, if you love beautiful food, thoughtful gifting and that buzzy inner-city festive energy, this is your moment.
Set inside the iconic industrial Eveleigh precinct on Gadigal Land, the annual Christmas Market has become a Sydney tradition. It is joyful, chaotic in the best way, packed with incredible producers, and basically the perfect place to get your life sorted before the big day. Need a ham glaze? Sorted. Need a last-minute gift? Done. Need a pastry to keep you going while you do it all? Always.
The ultimate one-stop Christmas shop
This year, the Market opens its doors to over 120 stallholders, including much-loved Carriageworks Farmers Market regulars like Block 11 Organics, Kurrawong Organics, The Food Farm, Hillside Food Forest and Vannella Cheese. Alongside them you will find a whole lineup of festive guests like Pudding Lane, Indigiearth, Marshmallow Club, Saturday Night Pasta, Hunter Candles, Ruffle Farm, Vinden Wines, Peek Neek and Splendid Wren Ceramics.
It is the perfect place to build your dream Christmas hamper. You will find:
- Small-batch confectionery
- Preserves and pickles
- Handmade chocolates
- Boutique wines and spirits
- Baked goods and speciality breads
- Artisan tableware and ceramics
- Signed cookbooks from top chefs
Basically, you can do the full feast shop, the teacher gifts, the stocking fillers and the personal treats all in one go.
Come hungry. Leave very happy.
Carriageworks Christmas Market always delivers on the food front and this year is no different. Ready-to-eat favourites include AP Bakery, Hotluck, Condimental, Crustacean Nation, Broomfield Pies and The Food Farm.
Plus, you will find special guest appearances from Gelato Messina, Gildas/Firedoor, Plate It Forward and Tenacious Bakehouse. Expect peak Yuletide snacking.
DJ La Foxy Fuzz will be onsite too, bringing the energy and keeping the market vibes high from 8am to 3pm.
A magical experience for families
Beyond the food and gifting, families can step inside a stunning free interactive installation called Creature, created by Box of Birds and Stalker Theatre. Think Australian bushland brought to life through immersive 360 degree projections, storytelling and digital creatures that respond as you explore. It is creative, mindful and honestly quite beautiful.
Christmas trees? Absolutely.
The scent of pine is non-negotiable. From 29 November to 13 December, Dural Christmas Tree Farm will return to the weekly Carriageworks Farmers Market with freshly cut and potted trees, perfect for bringing a bit of farm-fresh festive charm into your home before the big day.
