STOP. THE. PRESS.
This is not a drill.
Bali is coming to Double Bay. Before you worry you have to read the whole article, don’t worry beau, I got you – Booking link here
For two nights only, Yuki and Meimei are taking over Bartiga, and if you know me, you know this is my personality crossover episode.
I have been to Bali five times in the last six months. Five. I practically have a seat with my name on it at immigration. And two of the places I consistently send people to, obsess over, and book before I’ve even landed?
Yuki.
Meimei.
So the fact that Head Chef Kadek from Yuki and Head Chef Yuda from Meimei are flying in to lead the kitchen at Bartiga for a collaborative, exclusive menu on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 March 2026?
I repeat.
This is not a drill.
Bali Energy. Double Bay Address.
If you’ve ever eaten at Yuki in Bali, you’ll understand. It’s contemporary Japanese-influenced cuisine but make it Bali. Clean flavours. Sharp technique. Beautiful produce. Zero ego. Maximum impact.
Under Chef Kadek, Yuki has become one of the most consistent, elevated dining experiences on the island. It’s where you go when you want that refined, modern energy without the try-hard.
Then there’s Meimei. Chef Yuda’s playground of bold Southeast Asian flavour. Expressive. Layered. Confident. It’s the kind of menu that makes you close your eyes mid-bite because your brain needs a second to process what just happened.
And now these two forces are coming together in Sydney.
At Bartiga.
In Double Bay.
I’m unwell.
Why This Matters
Double Bay has had its renaissance moment. It’s polished. It’s elevated. It’s refined.
But this? This is texture. Heat. Depth. Cultural exchange. It’s Bali’s dining scene landing in Sydney’s eastern suburbs with full confidence.
The takeover will run across dinner service on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 March 2026, and the menu has been created exclusively for Bartiga. Think premium produce, vibrant spices, generous plates designed to be shared and talked about.
It’s not a copy-paste of Bali. It’s a collaboration. A meeting of kitchens. A merging of styles.
And if you’ve been craving that electric Bali dining energy without booking a flight, this is your moment.
Bartiga: The Perfect Host
For those who haven’t yet been, Bartiga has quickly carved out its space as one of Double Bay’s most exciting modern Australian restaurants, shaped by bold Southeast Asian influences and warm hospitality.
Set on the former Café Perons site, it already leans into layered flavour and considered drinks. Which makes it the perfect canvas for this kind of takeover.
Their curated drinks program will be running alongside the menu, so expect thoughtful pairings and a room that feels alive.
Book. Immediately.
This is two nights only.
Friday 27 March 2026
Saturday 28 March 2026
Bartiga, Double Bay
Bookings are essential.
And if history tells us anything about Sydney and limited-run dining moments, these will not sit quietly online waiting for you to “check your calendar”.
If you love Bali.
If you love food that actually makes you feel something.
If you love being the person who got the booking before everyone else found out.
You know what to do.
I’ll see you there.
