NEW RESTAURANTS/CAFES

Mr Busbys at Dalwood Estate – Brought to you by the people behind MEET, Newcastle, Mr Busby’s is the new foodie haven,  the café recently opened in the oldest vineyard in Australia – Dalwood Estate.

Yellow Billys Restaurant – The new brainchild of Emerson Rodriguez, of Emerson’s Restaurant, Yellow Billys Restaurant showcases the art of cooking over fire from wood fired whole fish to slow cooked Lovedale suckling pig.

Fawk Foods Kitchen & Bakery – The welcomed new bakery-come-café was recently launched as a love project by Frank Fawkner of EXP restaurant, offering nutritious, nourishing breakfast and lunch 7 days a week.

NEW CELLAR DOORS/BREWERIES

IronBark Hill Brewhouse – Offering more than locally made wines, the IronBark Brewhouse is “100% Hunter” with a range of hand crafted beers, ciders and delicious bites showcasing local produce.

1813 Wines – In the picturesque setting, of Tinonee Vineyard Estate, across 16 acres of various grape varieties, the new cellar door caters to all palettes.

Dalwood Estate – Established as Wyndham Estate in 1828, the new Dalwood Estate has reopened after being closed to the public for 5 years. Set amongst 260 acres, the oldest vineyard in Australia continues to be recognised as the birthplace of Hunter Valley wine.

NEW ACCOMODATION

Blackwood – Opened by The Woods Pokolbin, this exclusive retreat offers opulence at every detail, from locally sourced artisan bathroom amenities, a country helipad, private jetty, open fireplace and  secluded plunge pool.

Corunna Station – Set on 100 acres of private rural property, the original sheep shearing station was established in 1880 and whilst the original agricultural structures remain, the uniquely stunning farm stay properties are a futuristic vision of luxury.

Boydell’s – Situated overlooking the vineyard, taking glamping to a whole new level, think 52 square metre tents, indulgent copper baths, breathtaking views and even the option to add a private chef or in-house massage.

THINGS TO DO

Yoga in the vines – Nestled in Lovedale, the heart of the Hunter Valley, join yogi Shane Blackett and indulge in an array of services from group yoga classes to “glass” events (wine tasting and yoga)! The stunning location offers the perfect spot to relax and restore the body and mind.

Picnic among the vines at Audrey Wilkinson – Spanning across 270 acres, the iconic location encourages guest to immerse themselves among the vines with a bottle of handpicked wine and picnic hamper for two.

Dalwood Markets at Dalwood Estate – Held at the famous Dalwood Estate on the second Sunday of every month, the markets showcase local talent ranging from food, fashion, homewares and much more.
