Glass Island is the latest on harbor venue by hospitality entrepreneur Scott Robertson (Goodbar, Days Like This Festival, Division Agency) and his long-time design collaborator Alex Zabotto-Bentley. Launched in January 2020 Glass Island offers guests impeccable first-class service and world class entertainment in a stunning environment.
Having previously been responsible for creating the iconic Seadeck brand, Scott wanted to take a completely different approach with this venue and although it is still a boat any nautical design connotation were to be left far behind. The brief: design the most iconic hospitality location afloat in
Australia.
On the entertainment front Glass Island has been quick to lock in a number of high-profile resident DJ’s including Sneaky Sound System’s infamous Sneaky Sundays brand which takes place on the first Sunday of every month. Other residencies include; Yolanda Be Cool, Poolclvb, Colour Castle,
One Hit Agency and Audiopaxx who launch with Nicky Night Time and Barney Cool DJs on Sunday 23rd February.
Alex Zabotto-Bentley and his award-winning team at AZBcreative designed Glass Island as 3 levels totally unique to themselves and all inspired by travels to paradise locations around the globe.
The top deck bar inspired by travels to iconic Mediterranean beach clubs is a lush oasis with a palette of rust, burnt orange and white, with custom seating and super-deep lounges and VIP table options complete with jaw dropping uninterrupted 360-degree panoramic view of the magnificent Sydney Harbor.
The middle deck is a manifestation of Miami pool clubs and beach front hotel lobbies. A 7m long custom mint-tiled bar features with multiple lounging and seating on a raw timber deck surrounded completely by glass with a number of large panels sliding open so guests feel the sea breeze on their face.
The lower deck is a chilled champagne and cocktail lounge serving unique cocktails and our selection
of natural wines exclusive to that level.
Glass Island is also available for exclusive hire and offers clients the perfect location with multiple levels that can be customized to play host to their social or corporate event.
Glass Island will remain in Sydney until the end of April and then it sets sail for Brisbane before returning in October 2020.
