WHAT’S ON 101** Spirits & Bites Is Coming to Sydney — and It’s Serving Indulgence With a View

Sydney, prepare your palates. This November, a new premium tasting experience is landing on our shores, and trust me, this one isn’t your mate’s local gin festival with a paper wristband and a queue for a plastic cup. This is elevated indulgence with Darling Harbour views, curated drops, and the kind of food that makes you reconsider ever leaving your canapé comfort zone.

From 14–16 November 2025, Spirits & Bites will take over Manjit’s Restaurant in Barangaroo, delivering three days of seriously grown-up sipping. Think premium spirits from some of Australia’s most celebrated distillers, matched with roving gourmet bites in an intimate, waterfront setting.

And yes — it’s as fabulous as it sounds.

Not a Festival — A Proper Experience

The organisers are very clear on this: Spirits & Bites is not a festival.
It’s a mood. A moment. A curated two-hour deep dive into more than 70 premium spirits from 18 acclaimed distillers and distributors.

Expect names you know and love — and a few you’ll be bragging about discovering early.

A quick taste of what’s pouring:

  • Lark Distillery serving up bold Tasmanian single malts
  • Prohibition Liquor Co. and Ester Spirits showcasing standout gins
  • 7000 Island Spirits bringing the Ube liqueur moment
  • Husk Rum for the Caribbean-leaning crowd
  • Tequila, pisco, grappa…
  • And the pièce de résistance: Hugo Vodka served with a caviar bump (because why not dial the indulgence all the way up?)

Whether you’re a connoisseur, a collector, or someone who simply appreciates a premium pour, there’s a conversation starter in every glass.

Let’s Talk About the Food (Because It Deserves Its Own Section)

You will not be chasing a canapé platter through a crowd — the food comes to you. Constantly.

Guests can expect roving bites like:

  • Tempura garlic prawns
  • Lamb kebabs
  • Arancini
  • Fresh naan and dips
  • Prawn toast
  • Samosas
  • Seafood cocktail cups

It’s premium grazing with a global twist — and yes, it’s included in the ticket price. Drinks too. Even the mixers (hello, Long Rays).

Every guest also takes home a stylish tote and a branded tasting cup, because we love an event with thoughtful takeaways.

A Beautiful Waterfront Setting

Manjit’s at Barangaroo is the perfect backdrop: harbour views, soft evening light, delicious food aromas drifting through the room, and expert distillers happy to answer every question — whether you’re comparing barrels or asking what “finish” actually means.

Add a curated crowd of Sydney’s spirit lovers and curious foodies and it’s shaping up to be one of November’s hottest tickets.

Ticketing: Limited, Luxe, and Worth It

Tickets start from $140 per person, which includes:

  • Two hours of premium spirits tasting
  • Continuous canapés
  • Your tote + tasting cup
  • Access to buy bottles direct from producers

There’s also a very small number of “Choose Your Session” tickets — ideal for those who love a bit of spontaneous glamour (or are simply chronically non-committal).

Six sessions are available across the weekend, from Friday afternoon through Sunday.
