More pools in more locations, that’s what people across the country can expect as part of Swimply‘s Australian relaunch announced today. A marketplace for swimming pools, Swimply is giving Australians the chance to reclaim fun this summer and escape locally with affordable access to luxurious private pools that can be rented by the hour.

With cost of living pressures starting to bite, two years of Covid induced uncertainty and La Nina impacted Summers, Australians have been deprived of Summer fun. Swimply provides a fun and affordable way for people to get together, swim and escape locally with family and friends.

From just $25 per hour, Australians can bring together their family and friends and rent a private pool, with many venues on the platform also providing access to BBQ facilities and pool toys, making it the perfect (and affordable) ‘daycation’ or local escape.

Pool owners can now earn extra income by becoming a Host and renting out their pool on Swimply, with many hosts finding that the money made on Swimply not only covers maintenance expenses, but also provides them with a lucrative side hustle.

According to newly appointed Managing Director for Australia, Sam McDonagh, average pool maintenance costs in Australia are between AUD $2400 – $4800 per year – an amount that pool owners can reasonably expect to cover by listing their pool on Swimply.

“Swimming is the number one rated activity for families, yet 87 per cent of Australians don’t have access to a pool. We want to change that. Our goal is for every Australian to have access to a private pool and for every homeowner to be able to share spaces they are passionate about and make money.”

“With cost of living pressures starting to impact every aspect of our lives, Swimply provides an opportunity for Australians to afford little moments of luxury; whether it be a family fun day by the pool, friends enjoying a splash on a warm day, or some well deserved R&R,” he said.

Swimply is available Australia-wide in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Perth, Adelaide and other regional areas already.

The app is available on both Android and iOS. For more information visit swimply.com.
