Konichiwa! Experience Tokyo’s world of small bars at The Ivy Pool Club throughout the month of October, Tuesdays to Fridays, 6-9pm with Tiny Tokyo. The Ivy Pool Club’s cabanas will be transformed into tiny bars inspired by Tokyo’s famous Golden Gai, a festive city district famed for its narrow alleys & numerous snug taverns.
Each cabana around the pool will have a fun theme and Japanese food, including sushi, sashimi, yakitori and ramen noodles. Pair your food with a selection of Japanese beers and cider by Kirin, not previously available in Australia. ‘Kanpai!’ (cheers!). In keeping with the busy laneways, sights and buzz of Tokyo, each night (Tuesday to Friday) will involve quirky, Japanese inspired interactive entertainment!
Tuesdays: Mario Cart battles. Beat your buddies at a game of Mario Cart.
Wednesdays: Live Art, Fashion & DJs. Calligraphy, larger format Japanese painting and a fashion show.
Thursdays: Hip Hop night.
Fridays: Japanese DJs. Drink beers, watch live entertainment and dance.
And of course, there will be lots of opportunities to snap some super Kawaii pics in the photo booth too.
Round up your friends for Japanese food, drinks and entertainment by the pool at one of Sydney’s favourite venues!
Where: Pool Club, Level 4, ivy, 320 George Street, Sydney, 2000
