Just as Winter settles upon Sydney, The Galeries will become home to a large-scale sculpture celebrating public art
and culture. The limited-edition Light Arc sculpture will light up with the work of Australian contemporary artist, Elliot Routledge.
Elliot is best known for his public art installations, paintings and sculptures has exhibited in galleries and installed
murals globally,and has cultivated an engaged community on his Instagram @funskull. Elliott has spent much of his
time in The Galeries over the years and has always wanted to create a centrepiece that is impactful and meaningful to
the precinct’s visitors.
For even more fun, an interactive game called ArtParts has been designed to accompany the sculpture, where customers can use their smartphones to Scan, Play and Win. With up to $60,000 worth of prizes to be won, customers will be able to find and scan QR codes, unlocking a puzzle featuring Elliot’s artwork. There are 3,000 instant prizes to be won across major brands including; Ttotaler, Grill’d, Books Kinokuniya, plus four major weekly prizes including a $500 Incu voucher, $300 brunch at The Grounds of The City, $500 private dining experience at Lotus Dining and $500 Muji home package.
Pushing the boundaries and amalgamating art and gamification, The Galeries continues to drive an immersive
shopping and dining experience this winter.
