World Chocolate Day Just Got a Very French Upgrade … And at Petit Lou Lou it Includes Free Choc Filled Baguette

If World Chocolate Day didn’t already have your attention, then this collaboration which brings together Whittaker’s and Petit Lou Lou, should be enough to officially justify rearranging your afternoon today.

Credit goes to the culinary creatives behind the cult favourite NZ chocolate brand and Martin Places’ French dining institution, who have joined forces to give the classic Parisian afternoon ritual –  le gouter – a very indulgent Sydney spin.

Not fluent in french? Traditionally, le gouter is the late-afternoon pause – coffee, something sweet, a moment to step away from the day. For this limited edition, it becomes the Whittaker’s Hazella Le Gouter: a baguette filled with butter and Whittaker’s Hazella chocolate, the brand’s hazelnut gianduja block wrapped in creamy milk chocolate.

Plus, to really mark World Chocolate Day, Whittaker’s and Petit Lou Lou are also giving people a reason to show up early.

From 2pm today, the first 100 customers at Petit Lou Lou’s Martin Place location will receive a free Hazella bundle, including the Le Goûter and a block of Whittaker’s Hazella to take home.

First in, best dressed – and definitely best fed.

If you miss out, the collaboration isn’t gone just yet.

The Whittaker’s Hazella Le Gouter will be available across all Lou Lou locations from 7-13 July, bringing the limited-edition snack to Sydney for one week only.

It’s a small twist on a very old ritual, but that’s the appeal. A mid-afternoon pause, reimagined with butter, chocolate, and no real need to overthink it.

Just show up hungry.
