The Artist’s Room by EVENT CINEMAS and SCREEN NSW is back by popular demand!

Last time at The Artist’s Room, we enjoyed a fantastically insightful discussion with David Wenham (hosted by Luke Buckmaster, film critic for the Guardian) which covered his Australian film career as both actor and director along with his impressive Hollywood career. The Q&A was followed by a screening of classic Aussie Gold Coast comedy, Gettin’ Square (which, if you haven’t seen it, is hilarious by the way).

On September 15th at 6.30pm, The Artist’s Room will be joined by director Jim Sharman for a one hour Q&A session followed by a screening of his cult-classic masterpiece, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”.

With Luke Buckmaster reprising his role as host, the evening is designed to give back to the Australian film industry, with all profits from ticket sales going back to the Screen NSW Screenwriters’ Development Fund.

But it’s not all for industry insiders. The Artist’s Room is about giving fans an up-close and personal insight into the lives and careers of some of Australia’s biggest film stars and icons. So if you’re a Rocky Horror Show fan, a film buff in general or just obsessed with all things Susan Sarandon, this is a night not to be missed.

Tickets are $25 and trust me, if it’s anything like the last one, you’ll get every penny’s worth back on the night and more.
