Mardi Gras is an iconic event not to be missed in Sydney, drawing crowds in the thousands each year who all flock to Oxford St to watch the incredible parade.
A colourful collision of creativity and culture across the LGBTQI+ community, this year saw the NSW Rural Fire and Rescue floats steal the show with the loudest cheers from the crowd, along with incredible international talents Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and Kesha giving electrifying performances at the official after party at the Hordern Pavillion.
All the way along Oxford St, venues are overflowing with exclusive parties and events – and Sydney Social 101 was lucky enough to attend the Honey Birdette VIP Party at The Cat’s Meow. Champagne flowed throughout the evening and guests enjoyed live entertainment and music performances, with a world-class view of the iconic Mardi Gras parade – here’s a little rundown of the who’s who and (of course) a look at the incredible outfits!
