Sydney’s leading Festival for cult and underground films, the Sydney Underground Film Festival (SUFF) has announced its line up for the 2015 Festival, taking place 17th -20th September this year.
Over four big days, the Festival will screen over 100 films sourced from the very best in subversive, experimental, and controversial films internationally, including featuring Australian premieres, retrospectives and Q&A screenings alongside masterclasses and special musical performances.
To celebrate Sydney Social 101 is offering a double pass (2 x tickets) to each of the below sessions of the Sydney Underground Film Festival at The Factory Theatre, Marrickville:

The 2015 Festival will open with a literal bang with the latest sexually charged work from provocative writer-director and Festival favourite, Gaspar Noe, LOVE in 3D. This controversial autobiographical film hits the Festival for its Australian premiere after setting chins wagging at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Other highlights of the feature film program include the Australian premiere of WE ARE TWISTED F*CKING SISTER!, the documentary detailing the rise of the heavy metal band, the story of the greatest fan-made film ever made in RAIDERS! and the story behind the infamous Silk Road in DEEP WEB.
The Festival will also take a trip down memory lane with a selection of retrospective screenings, including a 20th anniversary of Larry Clarke’s (Ken Park, Bully, The Smell of Us) indie film debut KIDS, and a special 50th anniversary screening of the proto-feminist sexploitation classic, FASTER, PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL!. And to celebrate the 30th anniversary of BACK TO THE FUTURE, the Festival will screen BACK IN TIME, which looks at the impact that the movie had on our culture.
Also featuring at the Festival will be the festival favourite short film sessions REALITY BITES, LOVE/SICK, WTF SHORTS, LSD FACTORY and OZPLOIT! featuring a selection of the wildest short films of the year.
Closing the festival in true SUFF style, will be a screening of Eli Roth’s latest thriller, KNOCK KNOCK. A sick, sexy, twisted and brilliantly trashy sexploitation thrill ride starring Keanu Reeves in his most daring role to date.
Festival director Stefan Popescu said “Over the past year, we have scoured the globe for the most subversive, off the wall and out there films we could possibly find. The resulting program is a celebration of everything that cinema should be; challenging, intimate, frightening, playful and fun, and we can’t wait to share it with Sydney”.
The Festival opens on Thursday 17th September at the Factory Theatre, Marrickville.

I should go because I am a movie aficionado. I have over 600 movies at home and love finding new movies that fascinating and enjoying their storylines.
