On Tuesday night Sydney Social 101 was invited to celebrate one of our favourite restaurant and bar’s third birthday party: Bondi Hardware. Over 150 locals, media, friends and celebrities attended.
A ‘Point Break’ dress code was encouraged for the End of Summer Party, with many guests embracing the theme wearing surf gear and dead president’s masks, and Photobooth Me provided hilarious photo mementos of the evening. DJ’s spun summer beats and guests were treated to a refreshing cocktail upon arrival – Watermelontini – made with Ketel One Vodka, elderflower liquor, watermelon, apple and lime. Wines were supplied by Howard Park, beers by Endeavour and ciders by Hardware favourites Batlow.
Delicious tasters from the new menu, created by Head Chef Elliot Anders, were circulated including polenta & quinoa bites, tuna poke spoons, crispy pork belly and pumpkin boats, the famous Hardware classic beef sliders, pearl barley arancini balls with lemon aioli and margherita pizza slices.
Named after its original occupant of 30 years, a cluttered Hardware store, Bondi Hardware pays homage to its heritage, with the interior painstakingly transformed utilising exposed brickwork, beams, high gabled ceilings and recycled timber. Bondi’s craftiest restaurant and bar combines a welcoming ambiance, mouthwatering food and delicious beverages to create a uniquely Bondi dining experience. A good workman never blames their tools, and at Bondi Hardware they’re the best in the business!
