This Saturday we were lucky enough to attend Smooth Festival of Chocolate at The Rocks and what a lovely day for it, the weather was gorgeous.
So our morning started at the gym to prepare ourselves for a chocolate filled day and to make ourselves feel less naughty for what we were about to indulge in! We arrived at the Smooth Festival of Chocolate at 10am where we were the first to experience the Tim Tam Temptation Tent. We were given Tim Tam goodie bags on arrival, which included a new limited edition Tim Tam Choc Banana flavour that will be available exclusively at Coles from October and that was only the beginning! We were lucky enough to experience the entire range of Tim Tim’s including Tim Tam core flavours, Tim Tam Zumbo and Tim Tam Chocoholics. As it was such a hot day all the tasters had to be eaten otherwise they would have melted (well that was our excuse). My favourite Tim Tam has always been the white Tim Tam but I am now a fan of the new Choc Banana. There was also the chance of winning a beautiful Tim Tam-inspired Chocolate Diamond ring worth $20,000.
After our morning at the Tim Tam Temptation Tent we went for a spot of lunch at the Guylian cafe on The Rocks to continue our Smooth Festival of Chocolate experience. We were spoiled for choice, so we asked the lovely staff to kindly recommend something for us, and oops we went a little overboard with our order of 2 tarts and a waffle. The lemon meringue tart and the banana chocolate waffle were amazing and by far the best I’ve had so I would definitely recommend it. With our desserts we had a mocha ice coffee, which was delicious. Even though we chose to have sweet options for lunch they also have a wide range of savory options, which also looked amazing and affordable. Guylian is now my new favourite place for desserts!
Our day finished at an VIP event at Bar100 where we experienced the Smooth Festival of Chocolate in style and indulged in more chocolatey goodness. There were two Tim Tam inspired cocktails to try; Chocolate Illusion and Mon Cheri. Whilst enjoying a cocktail or two there were canapés being handed around and also a dessert table filled with delicious sweets and chocolates.
We had a great day at Smooth Festival of Chocolate and I can now safely say I’m stocked up on chocolate!
