Sydney’s legendary party bar, Scubar, is heating up for summer with a raft of fun new events and a couple of old favourites to get the party started any night of the week.
Monday night is the home of Scubar’s world famous crab racing. Entry is free and revelers can get nippy with their little clawed friends while enjoying $7.50 jugs from 6-9pm.
As the new home of live music showcase #Jam, Tuesday nights will be pumping the tunes throughout the evening. There will be Joker Poker with big cash prizes to be won, $3 hot dogs and happy hour drinks until 10pm.
Wednesday night will become home to brand new night Antics with Sydney’s best (and probably only!) dildo racing, all the latest funk, house and electro tunes and happy hour drinks until 10pm.
Tight arses will love Thursdays as everything is just $5 – food, drinks, the lot, so get there early to nab a spot.
All new to Friday nights is Retro Funk ‘n Fridays, the ultimate late night party with all the best retro disco party anthems pumping until late. Entry is free and there will be drinks specials all night. For those who like a gamble, there will even be cockfighting championships to contend with.
The weekend is really all about the tunes, with LUSH! deep house sessions and live sax players on Saturday nights, and the ultimate Chillout Sunday Sessions to help on the road to recovery.
Throughout the week, the daring and the brave can still take part in Australia’s Hottest Hot Dog Challenge. The competition sounds simple – eat one hot dog to win – but with a sauce measuring 1.5 million on the Scoville scale, it’s almost impossible to finish. Prizes for the brave include having their picture hung on the Scubar Wall of Fame and an ‘I Beat The Heat’ Scubar T-shirt.
