Who doesn’t love a good rib and burger feed? Add one of the best in the biz is Wollongong’s Char Char Bar and Grill – sadly, just a little too far for a late night stop off on the way home from the city. But rejoice! For ’tis the Season of Giving and Char Char has taken pity on us poor Sydneysiders and sent us their new Char Char Food Truck!
The first of its kind in New South Wales, Char Char Food Truck launched in Sydney and Wollongong yesterday, Thursday 10th December 2015, and is serving up the Char Char Bar and Grill’s divine signature Ribs and Burgers.
Those who have had the pleasure, and experienced Char Char Bar & Grill‘s signature ribs, know that they are something pretty special. It’s all about the secret family made BULU basting, the legend of this secret recipe dates back to ancient tribes and now lies in the hands of one very special lady, Grandma Gen. Kind enough to pass the basting on, Char Char’s Food Truck will be the first in NSW to serve ribs, offering beef or pork as well as its succulent burgers and short run creations to satisfy your cravings for a sumptuous meaty fare.
Mouth watering, rich and absolutely delicious, Char Char’s BULU Basted, Slow Cooked Ribs and Fries (15) will leave you wanting more. Perfect for eating truck-side, the Char Char Burgers are made from Australia’s finest grass fed beef, pressed and grilled to perfection, stacked with garden produce (10) with chips (15). As a teaser, short runs will include Southern Fried Chicken Burgers and Flame Grilled BBQ Chicken Wings. If that weren’t enough, wash it all down with a selection of shakes including the Peanut Butter & Honey with all that sweetness and vanilla milk goodness (5).
The truck itself comes with all the bells and whistles including a state of the art inbuilt sound system; the design has the essence of the Char Char brand however evolved into a contemporary and expressive identity paying homage to Char Char’s South African lineage.
Char Char Food Truck will be parked at the following locations from Thursday 10th December with further locations to come in 2016 including Sydney’s South, West and Northern Beaches.
