Sydney Social 101 attended the launch of The Soda Factory’s ‘Soda Open Stage’ on Wednesday 22nd April as a VIP guest.
Jazz and vintage soul singer, Michelle Martine was a special guest vocalist act for the launch playing alongside Soda’s resident house band. As a collective, they’ve played thousands of shows and toured with the best in the business with artists including Lionel Richie, UB40, Jimmy Barnes and Richie Sambora.
‘Soda Open Stage’ will feature some of Sydney’s best musicians and guest vocalists each Wednesday, plus extra special pop-up performances from local talent and touring internationals
.
Keeping the nights full of flavour, Soda will stir up the sessions with a different line-up of guest musicians dropping in to jam every Wednesday. Venue owner Graham Cordery said, “We’re passionate about live music and giving our customers a unique experience that you can only get in an intimate venue. We already have some touring internationals keen to come down and play, so you never know who might take the stage on Wednesday nights”.
Don’t panic Fat Bubba’s Chicken Wednesdays will continue. $1 Hot Wings with Blue Cheese Dip and $10 Buckets of Fried Chicken are available off the venue’s much loved diner menu all night.
Just weeks after the venue celebrated its 2nd Birthday and launched From Street to Stage on Sunday nights, The Soda Factory’s love and appreciation for live music and emerging and established artists goes from strength to strength.
