As part of our #DiscoverDownUnder series my son and I went to Wollongong to check out the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach for 24 hours and make the most of a road trip to the Coastal town located two hours’ drive south of Sydney and north of the southern coast.
The perfect escape for a winter retreat for all the family, there really is something to suit kids (and big kids alike).
Millions invested in renovation
The Novotel Wollongong Northbeach has undergone a dramatic renovation, which took place in the pandemic. Having stayed there previously, prior to the renovation, it was clear to see the investment which has been made to elevate the offering to create a premium experience for guests.
In addition to the rooms which have been elevated to a premium finish and plush feel, the eateries have also been heavily invested in, which doesn’t go unnoticed! Guests can soak up the atmosphere at the Adrift Pool Bar, North Bar and Palisade Kitchen & Bar. The new gym also feels like your own local gym, a home away from home!

I had the absolute delight of enjoying the culinary delights of the Palisade Kitchen and Bar, the food was out of this world, coupled by the stunning views (and friendly service), couldn’t recommend frequenting this eatery on your visit more highly (even if you’re not staying at the hotel it’s with a visit!).
