Sydneysocial101 was invited an international dining experience (made local) at the beautiful Harbourside Shopping Centre last night. The dinner was held at Dragon Boat Restaurant (Shop 445, Level 2) for a beautiful Chinese Feast.

Harbourside Shopping Centre – Darling Harbour

We had an amazing eight course banquet waiting for us at darling harbour. Of course we took the opportunity to take in the city views and the vibe.

I think my favourite was the starting course, the ‘Crispy Duck Wrapped in Pancake’. It was just a perfect mixture of crispiness and a deep hoisin sauce. The other course included Scallops with Snow Peas, King Prawns, King Mushroom with Black Pepper Sauce, Special Pork Dumpling with Peking Duck Fried Rice, other delicious seafood goodness and all topped off with Sticky Mango cake and a Fresh Fruits Platter and Fortune Cookies!

The staff were so attentive and lovely, I really can’t commend their customer service skills enough. Each course was prepared attentively and serviced with passion (also with entertaining instructions on how to eat certain dishes).

How amazing does the Peking Duck look? Go for a Chinese dinner tonight, then walk around the city lights post dinner, for a perfect evening (and a nice casual date, I might add). Darling Harbour is always full of energy and there’s always something to do there.

It was a delicious night and I highly recommend everyone to try other international flavours locally at Darling harbour. Other restaurants of note include: Kamikaze, Zaaffran, Critini’s, Kazbah an Cyren. Give them all a go for food safari with a view.
